Frank Chimero’s Advice to Students

Develop a point of view. Think about what experiences you have that many others do not. Then, think of what experiences you have that almost everyone else has. Then, mix those two things and try to make someone cry or laugh or feel understood.

Frank posted a link to something he wrote a few years back. I somehow missed it the first time around but it’s jam-packed with some great advice for students and non-students alike. The above bit caught my attention. Many struggle with trying to develop an original style or point of view. However more times than not, your point of view is born out of identifying and then pursuing your interests and passions by any means necessary.
