I am a user-oriented, medium-agnostic, designer, & thinker, based out of sunny Park City, UT

Ethos

I don’t consider myself strictly a web, print, or interaction designer, but instead a user-oriented designer who utilizes the medium and toolset most appropriate to engage an audience and elicit the desired narrative. Whether defining a brand or building a website, the fundamental principles of design and function remain the same. My fascination with process and technologies both new and old, continue to drive my curiosity with design and inspire my work.

A Brief History

Originating from the hills of Southern Indiana, I was brought up rooted in Midwestern values. Upon surviving my formative years, I went on to attend Indiana University bouncing around from major to major until finally landing upon graphic design. While I’d always possessed an admiration and sense for clever design, it was here that I was formally introduced to graphic design as a trade. With degree in hand, I packed my bags and traveled westward to Utah, in search of the finest champagne powder known to man.

Following a brief stay in the Salt Lake Valley, I continued my migration upwards to the mountains of Park City, where I am now gainfully employed as a designer at Flint Creative. When not creating or updating this shabby joint, I can most likely be found exploring Utah’s vast landscape either by foot, bicycle, or ski.

Furthermore

I employ a a variety of tools in my process including a plethora of pens, sketchbooks, cameras, and computers. My passion for bicycles is borderline absurd, I’m a sucker for beautiful typography, and I like to get my hands dirty.
